Effective September 30, 2026. This page covers the Doughboys TV iPhone and iPad app and doughboys.media. Apple TV support is in preparation and will be included when released.

What the app does

The app plays the Doughboys TV channel and available on-demand videos, and shows an episode, restaurant, and location guide. You do not need to create an account. The app does not ask for your name, email address, or payment details to use these features.

Location

If you tap “Use my location,” iOS asks for location permission. The app uses your current coordinate on your device to sort mapped restaurant addresses by distance. The coordinate is not included in requests to Doughboys TV. You can decline permission and still browse the location list. You can change the app’s location permission in iOS Settings.

On the website, your browser asks before sharing its location. The website uses that coordinate in your browser to sort addresses. It does not send the coordinate to the Doughboys TV service or use it to choose map tiles.

Playback, requests, and storage

The app and website request channel information, guide and catalog data, and video and caption files from doughboys.media and media.doughboys.media. As with ordinary internet requests, the delivery providers process technical information such as an IP address, requested file paths, and request details to deliver and protect the service. Media file requests can indicate what is being played. The app does not create an advertising identifier or send a location coordinate or search query to Doughboys TV. It does not maintain an account-based watch history.

The app stores guide and catalog snapshots in its private storage so they load quickly and remain available during a connection problem. Those snapshots do not contain your location or watch history. iOS removes the app’s storage when you delete the app. The website may cache its interface files in your browser for offline loading; you can clear that cache through your browser settings.

Maps and links

The iPhone and iPad app uses Apple MapKit. The website loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap when its map is visible. Those providers may receive ordinary network request information under their own policies. Episode and review pages may link to other websites; opening a link takes you to that site, which has its own privacy practices.

Feedback and choices

If you send feedback through TestFlight, Apple handles the submission and makes the feedback available to the app’s developer. Please avoid including sensitive information in feedback or screenshots. Doughboys TV does not sell personal information or use the app for cross-app advertising tracking.

You can use the app without granting location access. You can stop using the service at any time and delete the app or clear the website’s browser data. For privacy questions or help, email support@doughboys.media or see Support.
